ASC Quality Reporting Program

The Ambulatory Surgical Center Quality Reporting (ASCQR) Program promotes higher quality and more efficient health care for Medicare beneficiaries through quality of care measurement. The program requires Medicare-certified ASCs to report ten quality measures in order to avoid future Medicare payment reductions. ASCs must successfully report measures on at least 50% of claims. ASCs who do not meet reporting requirements may incur a 2% reduction to any annual increase of the ASC payment system for that year.
