Dr. Edward Sun received his MD from St. George's University School of Medicine in 2008. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship training at Stony Brook University Hospital. As GI Faculty at Stony Brook University Hospital, Dr. Sun pioneered their GI Hospitalist and Transition-of-Care programs. In 2018, Dr. Sun earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and subsequently became Assistant Chief Medical Officer at Stony Brook. In 2022, Dr. Sun joined Northwell Health as Associate Medical Director at Peconic Bay Medical Center. He currently serves as ¶¶Òô´ó¹Ï's advisor to the CPT Editorial Panel and is an active member of the ¶¶Òô´ó¹Ï Reimbursement Committee, advocating for GI physicians and their practices.
